Position: Financial Auditor
Reports to: Audit Manager / Senior Auditor
Job Overview:
A Financial Auditor is responsible for examining and evaluating the financial records and processes of an organization to ensure accuracy, compliance with applicable regulations, and efficiency in operations. This role involves conducting audits, preparing detailed reports, and providing recommendations to improve financial integrity and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Audit Preparation: Develop audit plans, including objectives, scope, and methodology.
- Risk Assessment: Identify and assess risks related to financial reporting and compliance.
- Audit Strategy: Formulate audit strategies based on risk assessment and organizational objectives.
- Financial Statement Review: Examine financial statements for accuracy and compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Transaction Testing: Test financial transactions to ensure they are recorded correctly and in compliance with regulations.
- Account Reconciliation: Verify the accuracy of account balances through reconciliations and analysis.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure financial statements comply with relevant laws and regulations.
- Internal Control Evaluation: Assess the effectiveness of internal controls over financial reporting.
- Recommendations: Provide recommendations for improving internal controls and financial processes.

Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA, CIA, or similar certification is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in financial auditing or a related role.

- Proficiency in audit software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong understanding of GAAP, IFRS, and regulatory requirements.
